TMZ got the skinny on “Mama June” Shannon and her Geno Doak getting arrested Wednesday in Alabama following an alleged domestic incident.
Doak was arrested for domestic violence/harassment, felony possession of a controlled substance (unspecified) and drug paraphernalia. Shannon was also cuffed for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Coincidentally, this all went down two days before the season 3 debut of WE-TV’s ‘Mama June: From Not to Hot” Friday evening at 8 p.m.
Shannon, who lives in Hampton, and Doak have been dating three years and she is pressuring him to get engaged and ultimately hitched.
The reality show, which follows the breakthrough hit “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” on TLC from 2012 to 2017, is focused on Shannon and some of her family members including Alana “Honey Boo” Thompson and her ex Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson.
After gastric sleeve and other surgeries that cost $75,000, Shannon lost close to 300 pounds from a peak of 460 to 160. She has since regained some of that weight.
The Daily Mail last year dug through Doak’s criminal history, which includes two stints in jail and arrests for felony burglary and theft.
