Just in time for the theatrical release of Captain Marvel, Microsoft reveals a new custom Xbox One X and controller based on the design of the Marvel hero. Captain Marvel, who made our list of Marvel Characters we want to see get their own game, has officially entered the MCU with her latest movie, and it seems likely that this Xbox One X was made as a way to commemorate this event.
For the comic fans, it’s worth differentiating which Captain Marvel this design is based on. The character has underwent several costume and identity changes since Mar-Vell was first introduced in 1967, but this Xbox is based on the MCU Carol Danvers manifestation of the character.
For those interested in owning this new custom Captain Marvel Xbox One X, they will want to follow the below link to enter the sweepstakes. There is no purchase necessary, and those who want to this Xbox simply need to retweet with the hashtag #CaptainMarvelXboxSweepstakes. Xbox lists the odds as dependent upon the number of entries, which considering the popularity of Captain Marvel and the MCU, is likely to be a lot. Beyond this sweepstakes, this isn’t the only Marvel-related project that Xbox fans should be ecstatic for. The Avengers Project is currently in the works, and we will hopefully hear more about than sooner rather than later. According to recent rumors, however, the winner of this amazing custom Captain Marvel Xbox One X may not be able to play it, as a recent job opening has suggested that it is in development for the PS5 and next-gen Xbox.
