'Jersey Shore's Deena Cortese mom-shamed for baby son's coming-home outfit - USA TODAY

Deena Cortese gave birth three days ago. And she's already being mom-shamed.

The "Jersey Shore" star shared an Instagram photo of her new son, Christopher John "CJ" Bruckner, in a car seat on his way home from the hospital, and commenters piled on, criticizing his outfit as unsafe.

"Going home," Cortese wrote in the caption, "( it’s not a jacket .. it’s a onesie and hospital approved it ) we’re not perfect but we got this  thank you for the concerns"

Even after Cortese clarified what her son was wearing, she was flooded with comments.

Instagrammers were pointing out a warning from the Consumer Reporter’s Auto Test Center that winter coats worn underneath a car seat harness can affect the fit of the harness, leaving straps dangerously loose.

One commenter cautioned, "take that baby out and put it back in without the suit on and see how loose the straps are!" Another added, "Onesie or not it’s way too thick. Car seat safety isn’t something to take lightly. I don’t care if it’s unwarranted advice I’ll say it to anyone."

But plenty of people were there to support Cortese and her little family, with one person giving this sage advice: "Rule #1 as a mom-Never post a car seat pic bc right or wrong someone somewhere will ridicule you."

And another summed up what many were thinking: "welcome to motherhood and all the sanctimommy’s of instagram."
