Get Your First Look at Gwyneth Paltrow's Valentino Wedding Dress

It was one of the most highly anticipated social events of the year, with rumors swirling all summer as to when and where and how it would be taking place (and what the food would be!). And now, just over a month after it took place, we are getting our very first look at Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding to television writer-producer Brad Falchuk. Paltrow—who had previously been married to Coldplay’s Chris Martin, with whom she has two children, Apple and Moses—married Falchuk in late September at her Hamptons residence.

The intimate affair was attended by only 70 people, with the dinner prepared by Mario Carbone, the James Beard Award-nominated chef. A number of high-profile Paltrow friends—including Cameron Diaz, Rob Lowe, Steven Spielberg, and Robert Downey Jr.—were photographed in their cars leaving the venue.

Paltrow wore a Valentino dress for the ceremony, which should not come as too much of a surprise, as she and Falchuk vacationed with the designer earlier this summer in Capri. In a photo shared exclusively by the bride and groom, the pair can be seen elatedly walking down the aisle after the ceremony, both gleeful and ecstatic as they take in their surroundings. And why shouldn’t she be elated? She’s Gwyneth Paltrow, she’s having the intimate wedding of her dreams, and she’s getting married at her house in the Hamptons in a Valentino dress—if you had received an outcome like this in one of those MASH games you played as a kid, you would not have been too upset.

Per details provided by Goop, the wedding D.J. was Girl Talk, who’s known for his popular mash-ups (with Arman Nafeei serving as the “house D.J.”). The two photographers were John Dolan and Lynsey Addario. Addario—a Pulitzer Prize winner who recently published her first collection of photographs—is known for her war photography.

After the wedding, which took place two days after her 46th birthday, Paltrow and Falchuk traveled to Umbria and Paris for a “mini-moon.” Paltrow then flew to London, where she celebrated with Stella McCartney, Demi Moore, Liv Tyler, and others at the opening of Goop’s first international store.

In April, Paltrow and Falchuk threw a glitzy large-scale engagement party in Los Angeles, which was attended by an A-list coterie of celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, and Chelsea Handler.
