Duchess Meghan turns heads in seemingly see-through skirt during royal tour

Days after wearing a dress with the tag still attached, Duchess Meghan may have suffered another wardrobe malfunction – or she's just keeping up with the latest style trends.

During a walkabout with Prince Harry in Rotorua in New Zealand Wednesday, the royal was snapped wearing what appeared to be a see-through skirt as she greeted the crowds. A line that looked to be from an undergarment was visible as she walked.

Since sheer fabrics are also a fashion statement, it wasn't entirely clear if Meghan's choice of the Givenchy skirt was accidental or fashion-forward. Meghan's outfit choices have been decidedly modest since she took on her role as a full-time royal following her May wedding to Prince Harry.

Meghan didn't appear distracted by her outfit as she turned her attention to the crowds waiting to greet her.

She even hugged a 2-year-old, Catalina Rivera, who got through the railings.

Prince Harry also took part in greeting the crowd during the walkabout.

This isn't the first time a royal has been spotted with a headline-making skirt.

In 1980 Princess Diana, then Lady Diana Spencer, accidentally showed off her legs when she was photographed in a sheer white skirt against the sun.

More recently, Duchess Kate attended the Royal Ascot in June 2017 in a creamy lace Alexander McQueen dress, which when the sun hit it just right, revealed the outline of her legs in photographs.
